Passenger Side Window Issue... Help Me
Hi there
My 1999 GC8 WRX's front passenger side window will go down but not back up, I have tried lubing up the runners with silicone spray and replacing the window switch but it still wont go up, in order to get it to go up you need to connect the window motor to an external power source like a spare battery or jump pack. Has anyone else ever encountered an issue like this? Any ideas on what could be wrong with it? Thanks |

Which switch did you replace? The passenger or the drivers. It is definitely 100% a switching failt. If you repaced one 1 switch, then you replaced the wrong one.

Thanks for replying, I replaced the passenger side switch so it sounds like I need to replace the main switch on the drivers side.

Correcto.
Conventional window circuit has both switchs in series. And even when you use the passenger switch, the current still needs to go through the master switch NC contacts.
