This is bloody funny...they produce a good fuel pump but try to save .0001 cent in producing a crap filter...

You know you have problems whwn the stock one is better than the after market one!

Some of us have longer and bigger tools that we play with and need all the pressure we can get to get the satisfactory result....

I very much doubt that the Walbro pump is rated to a genuine 500HP.

Default Fuel Pump

I have removed the small sock and re-installed the stock one and it made a small differance, so I re-installed the stock fuel pump. Problem gone......

Me thinks its the pump itself, some how I picked up a U/S pump. I have spoken to the seller and he is sending out a new pump. I also went to the trouble of taking it to a auto electrican. What he found was that there is a computer induced voltage drop. When the pump is priming you get full power to the pump, when your at idle the voltage drops to 7 volts and when you put your foot down it goes to 13+ volts. The electrican believes that the ECU is regulating the voltage to the pump.

So what do you guys think

Hrmm... dunno about WRXs, but Im pretty sure GTRs do a similar thing. When your giving it grief, basically it ups the voltage and pumps a higher volume of fuel, but say, when at idle, the voltage drops and pumps less fuel.

Not sure if its the same on the WRXs though as I said.....but maybe they do the same?
