I had the same problem after fitting a new box.The sensor that came with the box was stuffed. Can you try borrowing a speedo sensor off a mate see if thats the problem?

Well it does appear it is cable driven, thanks for the advice.

No... most of the modern WRX boxes have electronic speedo senders.

take the dash out and see if you can see the needle turning around when driving if not then its either the cable broken or the gears in the gearbox. If you can see it moving then must be your dash or it wasn't plugged in.

I have same issue... zero speedo but it doesnt make much difff. ... 3000 revs is 100 other than that I dont care what speed im doing.... its teh braking that kills not the kph.

Your either going too fast or your not. Also, if you constantly speed then the speedo is pointless as you know your doing 20-30 over all the time anyway.

Push it in at the back on the speedo.
This is what shits me about all this "search" crap, would it have been that hard to start a new thread instead of having to read some 2 year old crap that is totally irrelevant to your problem
