Default STi scoop for larger TMIC

Hey,

Im looking to upgrade my tmic to a larger one and ive been suggested to get the STi hood scoop for more efficient cooling. I would imagine the larger scoop would help and be a little better but do i NEED it to run a larger tmic well?

thanks

I beleive the Sti scoop is taller but it is not wider to suit a larger TMIC. You might wanna consider a hobbs pressure switch activated water spray setup. Cheap as to DIY and will give good results. Just dont skimp on a good spray nozzle

You dont need it but every little bit of exta cold air helps, the more you scoop in the better, specially with a tmic (heatsoak lords) and yeh definitely setup the water spray.

i wouldnt bother with a hobbs switch unless you want to refill the water tank every couple of days, your much better off with an intelligent pulse spray based on manifold air temps rather then pressure.

Get a bigger water tank and fill it up when you fill up on petrol.
