u have to ask urself:

What is ur budget?
What is ur power outlook?
What are your supporting mods?

what do you hope to achieve by getting a 2.5l that the 2l cant do?

spend money elsewhere.

but, in answer to your question. get a us 2.5 block. Should find them for around 3500?? Engine builders...speedworks, Racetorque, RMS maybe, they might be keen to put something together for you for a fee.

Complete engine would be pricey.

its always better to actually ask the workshop (eg RMS) to quote you the cost rather than us giving us you a cost
there's always a potential unknown issue, like retune, what sort of internals are you going to put in your 2.5, etc

just give Alex (aka GETAGRIP) a PM and he should be able to help

$6k for the block? Is that built? ie including pistons, crank, rods, etc?

Roughly a $10k exercise (parts and labour) if you're going to do it properly.

then go a little further and o-ring the block and sleeve it. you can run higher boost without a worry. maybe even nitride the crank too.
