Gizzmo Launch Control

Hey guys just wondering what your thoughts on these are?

All info is here http://www.gizzmoelectronics.com/product_launch.htm

Im just thinking it would be pretty good to just hold the throttle flat and it will keep the revs at 4500 rather than looking at tacho and trying to hold it or keep reving up and down!

Now will this be bad for the motor and or gearbox?

Im not looking to flat change either just want it for launchs.

Im very happy with my gizmo boost controller. I am sure the launch controller will be as reliable and easy to use.

Bad for your gearbox....say bye bye to your clutch, and consequently, gears...

Im pretty sure you also need the shift light in order to operate/program the launch control Joey...

I rang gizzmo ages ago and this was the speel they gave me... the idea sounds great, but if you've seen they're shiftlights you will think twice...

haha

How is a gadget that holds revs at what you set it too different from holding your foot down at those revs? The only differencec is that as u leave the line you have fulll throttle input rather than having to then put your foot totally down.

Its not more damaging to gearbox / clutch than a normal launch.

Launch control is not good for the drags, you bog down heaps at 4500 on the sticky tarmac, not worth it imo, get a new tune if you want it

so launch at 5500rpm then? :p and higher tyre pressures.

hook it up to a switch that allows you to turn it on/off whenever you like - it doesn't need to be permanently on.

Hmm by the sounds of it could end up costly doesnt sound to healthy for engine and g/box either :(

Can anyone please explain to me as to why it is worse for engine/gearbox than doing a normal launch say at 4500?

Thanks
