apply power and both front wheel pull, rather then spinning an inside front,
being one way, it doesnt induce understeer on throttle off.

I am running a cusco 1 way mech front LSD and a 1.5 way rear mech LSD. Installing a 5spd DCCD soon, can't wait, but running the standard wrx center. Took it down to barbegello yesterday. Watch out schumacher...car handles like a weapon without the DCCD. Drives like shit through the shopping center car parks. So can't wait to see what diff the DCCD does.

Oh, yeah: I might have a DCCD from a v6 RA 5spd for sale.

with dccd you inheriently get mostly rear bias, ive gone through several rear clutched diffs trying to stop the rear inside spinning, though the welded rear has been the most succesful in stopping the rear inside spinning so far...

Have u got an R180 rear diff stace? or just the 5 speed one still.

Can u just buy a DCCD center and fit it to a NON DCCD 6 speed?

Does anyone make a split ratio for 6 speed like cUSCO used to do for the 5 speed. 35/65 rear. fixed split. That woudl be the shit.

What do you guys think would be a first good stage upgrade to the diff's of a MY00 V6 STI?

I dont even know what ratio's or type's of diff the car has.. i wish there was a site with all the info on MY car on it.

i still run an R160 rear, they are cheap to replace, and the axles are common enough to find quickly.

you need the DCCD housing to support the DCCD diff.

unfortunately split ratio centre diffs arent 'the shit' they just are shit.

after driving long durations with the DCCD in rear bias (technically 35/65) it provides nothing but struggling for traction with road tires, you really want the ability to lock it up to adjust for your driving style, rather then adjusting your driving style to suit the diff.

your standard diffs are an 4.444 ratio open front, 1:1 12kg centre and a 4.444 suretrack rear r160(providing its still genuine)

an upgrade to that would be clutch pack or mechanical r160 for the rear, or the dccd centre.

running a dccd on an suretrack rear is guarenteed to cook the rear diff within weeks.

JWS have got a V6 STI RA done 46k coming in early next week. Darren was talking about wanting around $8k for it but then you would get everything that you need.

Sounds like a good front LSD would be in order then?

Perhaps one of these one way LSD's.
