Default BT Turbo

Anyone know much about the US Spec BT TDO5 TD06 20g turbo?

http://www.rexnet.com.au/forum/index...howtopic=59479

The TD05H-20G is a bolt-on upgrade for the WRX/STI utilizing a Mitsubishi TD06 20G compressor wheel in a TD06 compressor housing capable of supporting 460 HP maximum. The turbine section consists of a Mitsubishi TD05H high flow turbine wheel and shaft assembly for maximum low RPM boost response on the 2.0L and a 7cm 2 nozzle area turbine housing with an internal wastegate port and wastegate actuator calibrated at 9 PSIG. This particular turbine housing is ported and polished in the turbine inlet throat and wastegate port areas to improve exhaust gas flow and boost control via the internal gate. The center housing contains a water jacket and comes complete with coolant pipes installed.

Its much cheaper to buy a second hand td05 and then get it modified to 20G compressor wheel and housing.

td05 in good condition is around $500.
20G housing and compressor wheel I have heard is around $400 to 500 supplied and fitted to your old tdo5-16G.

This is simply what I have heard. Take it with a pinch of salt.

Yeh it does, I was wondering whether it was made by the same company that makes the FP20G?

Jaron, maybe have a look at the PSR turbos that Sirix has just fitted up.
217kw at 1.1 bar on TD05 20G /8cm = awesome result for a WRX!!
I think the PSR445 is TD06 20G????.......

the PSR440 which Sirix jsut got it a definately the BFYB Turbo.. the TD05/06 on the other hand is a huge step up, and has blown turbos like the AVOs out of the water... Cars in the states have been hiting 250kw+ at the wheels with them
