Default discs vibrating car.. help>??

i have been getting really rough riding sometimes from my discs. feels like they are warped so i took the brakes apart, pads are fine, a little glassy. discs are DBA slotted and are straight all the way round. However, there are some high spots on the discs and mostly the left hand side, where most of the vibration comes from.

from others experience does this sound like the discs need to be machined? new pads?

also the pads are landcrusier pads which are harder and just last longer. could this contribute to it also?

TIV.

I have the same issue on my MY02. Can't see anything strange by looking at them .. But when doing some hard braking i can feel a slight vibration in the front end .. Doesn't seem to affect anything majorly though.

Definitely the rotors .. I don't really like skimming/machining rotors .. Would just by new ones if it's a major issue for you.

i'd also check steering rack bushings...they were gone on my car and it was very shaky while braking

if theres still enough meat on the rotors then you may as well get them machined. Although new rotors these days are pretty cheap. So if you can, you may as well get new ones.

get some new rotors and maybe try some softer pads this time. only downside is more break dust.
