Default Top mount need tune ?

Just wondering guys im thinking about installing an upgraded bigger top intercooler which is sitting in my garage but seeing as the 06's are computer sensitive should i get in tuned after fitment or wait till i fit my new turbo , manifold and exhaust and get it all verso tuned ?

Just baby it until you get all the parts fitted and then tune it all in one go.

anything which affects the cars breathing or exhaust should require a retune.

in the long run, a full replacement ECU is cheaper on dyno time to maintain and keep tuned then constantly re-flashing your stock ecu, depending on what flavour of reflash- you may be able to negotiate a good rate for updating the tunes.

you may wish to consider this before modding the car little bit by bit.

Or just save up mods and retune as little as pssible, you wont see that much of a gain with the TMIC so just keep it off the car until you get everythng else, will save you a butt load of kesh rather than retuning for everything

What ECU are you suggesting Stace?? DBW?

motec, hacked autronic, haltech or maybe the new g3 link.

any of those are going to give you tuneability for an 06.

seems today people will spend more on their mags then they do on an upfront decent ecu.

haha Motec $7500+ installed in an 06, what price would you be looking at for the others?

I just installed an 05 STi TMIC into my 02 WRX. Better throttle response .. Need to do my splitter. :S
