Default MAC 3-port connection help please...

Im getting a MAC 3 port Solenoid, and I need some help making sure I hook it up properly.

As you can see the body of the solenoid has the ports labeled. 1, 2, and 3. I have marked the image with the connections as I know it, And I just need confirmation whether this is correct or not.

And yes, I know the pic below is not complete. I will be getting the upper solenoid actuator today.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

That thread does not give me a definitive answer...

Though I think I may have had it wrong.

This is my revision:

Port 1(Right): Back to inlet
Port 2(Left): Wastegate actuator
Port 3(Middle): Compressor pressure outlet.

OKAY...

After much fiddling around under the bonnet today, I have the answer.

The above setup I mentioned in my second post is the correct setup.

Just to reiterate myself this is the correct method of hooking up a MAC 3-Port Solenoid.

Port 1(Right): Back to inlet
Port 2(Left): Wastegate actuator
Port 3(Middle): Compressor pressure outlet.

Since fitting the MAC, I am now enjoying much better boost control. My old original Subaru/Denso 3 port didnt have very good boost control up at high revs. Sometime, I could see the boost gauge fluctuate by up to 2psi after full boost has already been reached.

Now, my boost is rock steady when I reach full boost at 3200rpm. It holds steady and only dips by 1psi near the redline.

One happy Camper here.

Any need to retune when you do this mod?
What is generally considered the time to chnge solenoids mod and boost wise?

You may need a retune. but its probably not a huge necessity. Different solenoids bleed off different amounts of air at any given duty cycle.

I didnt need a retune, but I did need to adjust my EBC for the MAC solenoid.
