From my very poor ass memory...

WRX - 165kw at the flywheel
STI - 180kw at the flywheel.

IMO they are one of the best EJ20 stock standard. came standard with a TD05 and a Closed deck engine (i think).

Going by what Redbook is saying it has:
155kW of Power
270Nm @ 4000rpm-4800rpm of Torque

any one know why the sedan can accelerate 0-100 in 5.6 secs but the hatch takes almost a second longer, when they weigh the same and have the same power. (0-100 in 5.6 seconds for a stock wrx doesnt seem correct)

I believe, that the wagons of that time had 3.54 or 3.9 final drive diffs. But the sedans had the 4.11 diffs.

The hatches did weigh more but only by about 40kg AFAIK.

Could be wrong though.

As for 0-100 in 5.6sec. Alot of manufactures quote figures a little better than what a normal person can achieve. You could probably get close to that time with one hell of a mind bending gearbox breaking launch.
