Default What next? Suggestions

Hey,

Currently i have a MY03 WRX with the following:

Bigger Ebay TMIC
3" turbo back
AEM short ram intake
Perrin lighweight crank pulley
Sard R2D2

Im getting it verso tuned in the next month or so but was wondering if you guys could give me suggestions for other little mods i could put on to get the most of my tune. I dont think ill go for the bigger turbo and front mount yet, just small or 'petty' mods .. When would i want to upgrade my injectors?

Thanks
-Nick

You have pretty much all the basic mods, should go good with a tune
no need to upgrade injectors until you have a bigger turbo

Get a Fuel Pump. Walbro or Bosch, whatever

What does short ram intake mean? Do you have a pod in the engine bay? If so, go either go back to standard or get the pod mounted in the front guard rather than in the engine bay.

short ram is just the pod with a piece of piping .. i called it that because thats what it was called when i bought it .. it was originally a cold air but i sliced the first piece of piping to shorten it so the pod would fit in the bay, i did this because i read HEAPS on cold airs being bad for wrx's and was nowhere near a tune at the time. i still have the other piece for the in guard. i guess i can find a long piece of silicon tubing to make up for the piece i chopped off (it was only a straight piece)

Yeah im aware ill need a larger fuel pump for the tune, just didnt mention it because i dont have it atm.

Would having the intake in guard rather than in bay make that much of a difference after the tune?

ideally youd want it set up before the tune

you would only want a new straight through up-pipe for the 2001 WRX. 2002 onwards didnt have the cat in the up-pipe AFAIK.

engine bay = hot air, fender well = cooler air. I would go back to stock and just delete plastic silencer bit. That pod is not your friend, particularly in the summer months. Verso tune will get the most out of what you already have. No need for bigger injectors unless going for bigger snail IMO.

Cheers guys.

Ill find some silicon tubing to make up for the little piece i chopped off(an inch or so) on my intake piping and setup my cold air before the tune. I still have my standard air box but ill prob just go with the cold air setup because it looks cooler and has a cool sound Feel free to call me an idiot for this choice but thats just me :P

Thanks again guys!
Cheers
-Nick
