    Hiya,

I know all about great hardware not working with 64bit Windows - I have a Nikon slide/film scanner which barely works on XP!

I only have a about a 5mb limit on incoming files, but if you give me a bit of warning I can temporarily up that. Otherwise I could post you a blank DVDRW + SAE if you have a DVD writer?

    Thank you Simon,
I have to research the partnumbers etc. and will go from there, it seems Pedders has a direct connection with Whiteline, I might give them a call, because from a first glance at the Online Performance website they don't have the braces in stock for a 2007 wrx, but I will give em a call anyway to make sure.

I have the footage from Midland and checked it, You are on there several times, but I don't really know if the fastest time is on there.
It is an old camera and is not compatible with my 64bit laptop, so I have to drag it from DV to my Old Win XP bomb, I will send the result uncut to your Spacejock emailaddress if that is not a problem.
anyway have a good weekend Mate

Sorry, I replied to you straight away but it went on my profile instead of yours. Here it is again:

    Hiya,
I ordered from Trevor at Online Performance Autos: sales@onautos.com.au

They shipped me the rear strut brace and it was fine. (I bought a carbon STI one for the front second hand but I assume they sell those too.)

I recently got a full set of swaybars, alloy links, HD mounting brackets, etc from them.

I used the Whiteline site to get the exact part numbers and descriptions. Found Online Autos on ebay (which is where I got the original strut brace from.)

You're welcome to mention my name, and that I'm happy with the service. It took a long time for the front swaybar but that's because it had to be custom-made. Your car is a lot newer so I'd guess they have parts for it in stock.

H Brace I got from Ultrex because it seemed like a part which wasn't as critical as sway bars etc.

I will have a look tonight when I get back from work, and will send you on your mailaddress.
But my question on the whiteline stuff is not answered yet mate, don't mean to bother you, but would be nice to know.

    Thanks Simon

I forgot to ask - did you get any footage on your video camera of my car? I recorded my first and last runs on the short course but forgot to turn the camera on for my best run ;-) I know you were recording various things but don't know whether you happened to have it running while I was out there.

    Hello Simon,

    How are you?
A question for you buddy, where did you order the Whiteline stuff from, I am looking for the Strut braces top front and rear, I noticed on the Whiteline website you can go to a local Repco or Auto one dealer,
I see it coming and you will have to wait another three months and a lot of disappointing phonecalls.
Or is it just better to order it straight from Whiteline?
I looked at Ultrex but that looks cheap stuff to me, some say that it's good value for money, but I like to stick to something more proven.

    Best regards

Yes the smell, it is still in my car, I was a bit worried about the freakin smoke coming of those pads.
Did some checkups on the car, seems all good, bit of silicon compounds left behind in Midland, haha.
Been to Rexpo, but there was not much happening, left after 10 mins to cruise to a nice cup of coffee and cake in Guilford.
Enjoy the rest of your weekend

Yes, it was good fun. I've added plenty of samples to my catalogue of 'things you can smell off a Rex', such as the scent of burning silicon compounds, hot brakes and clutches ...
