I wouldn't say the diff is done unless you've removed the rear diff cover and seen mechanical failure inside. It could be a C clip out of position if they stay inside the diff; I had some problems...

Some of those WAW nights probably wouldn't have helped either, couple of times it was so quiet you'd be back lining up by the time you got down the return road. I agree that dropping a 207...
