i was only really aiming at a reliable 320-350 atw with decent torque so your prob right that i wouldnt need such an agressive build as it would be for the street and not chasing times or numbers. nice to have a figure, i was budgeting about 20-30k for 1 serious rebuild.ASG seem to be the men to plan a build with as they keep rolling out pieces of art. my motors still got another 100 odd k's of thrashing left in it before i crack it open just planning ahead. thanks for the feedback man!

If you want the exact same build with the same specs as my second engine build, $40k is a minimum start for all parts and labour. Everyone is different and you will find it that you will want to change a few things through out the build as it progresses. My budget was way less than I paid but it is expected to rise if you keep on adding on the list. No point doing it if you will be having regrets later on. Have some plans on what you want to do with the car. Be prepared to rebuild it if it needs to be, you never know what can happen when you are pushing towards 600hp. I have invested a lot of money into this project as I want to put it to good use and not have it sit for months without driving. If you are prepared to do it go all out and enjoy it. Have a plan in mind with what you want, speak to who ever you want to build it and you will come up with what path you want to take.

hi mate, beasty sti man! ive been planning an abomination rebuild of my motor since i purchased the car and stalk here to follow all the other builds to plan mine and was already leaning at deans mob at asg as their street and strip builds seem awesome. and youve totally turned me to a 35r. i wanted to stay small for spool but the delivery of it on the 257 looks bang. anyways, wondering on motor build cost, the end number, lol with tuning and labour for your motor? just trying to get a rough idea what im in for or should be allocating. peace out to you and you crazy bruv! haah
