Just wanting to see how much timing im running, with those that know the motec program where can i find it and interpret the information..

It should be with the ignition table right?? ive only found KPA or load are the numbers in the table the degrees of timing??

ignition table,

load (manifold pressure) "Y Axis" vs rpm "X Axis"

thats the open loop base table.

you then need to compare engine tempurature compensation table, inlet air tempurature compensation table plus other compensation tables which may be in use.

if you have logging, dump the logs and see whats actually happening.

your 'ignition' value is always changing, so theres no one value you run, unless its tuned by a monkey over east.

Yes those numbers you see between the rpm vs kpa is the base timing numbers then you have correction on top of that

Thanks stace and carlz or sean .

Stace, i figured that the timing is changing as i can clearly see the difference in numbering as 1 load in increases and 2 rpm increases. I just here ppl sprout about degrees in timing and wondering how to compare it..

Ha ha its sean have not got my lap top on but you run about 1.9bar so at 280-300kpa mark full boost bout 5k -8k look at the timing rough guess would be around 16-20 bt red line

motec also does site interpolation, which means it picks the average between the 4 closest cells on the map and trims, so very often you will see a ignition value which isnt exactly whats in a particular cell or compensation, but its calculated based on the interpolation of all those parameters.

on logging you can log the ignition trim values and base ignition.

and if you want to compare manifold pressure against 'load', its close enough, but its actually calculated as manifold pressure / barometric pressure. so 100kpa (technically wot on a NA car, might actually only be 99 % load due to baro.
