Default Idel/Throttle Control

I have this problem with my car/ecu I think.

When I start my car, it starts and idles at 2000rpm as it warms up but then the idel doesnt drop, it just stays there. Its done this twice now, first time the car was just idling in the garage, i noted this and the engine temp creeping up beyond normal temps so i turned it off. It was a hot day and car stationary so not totally surprised.

Started it again this arvo and took it for a drive, same thing, idle wouldnt drop below about 2000rpm, car got up to op temp pretty quickly but didnt get hot while driving. I gave it a bit and drove it round the hood, no issues...Just the idle wont drop?

Any clues? Prolly cruise it up to ASG but dont want it to overheat or anything...

Car hasnt done much in the last month or 2, being parked for 2-3 weeks at a time..

I haven't, I don't think? Not sure if I still have a can cable. But yeah, a check and hook up to a lappy would show what's going on... can the maps be locked orrr?

Wow old post! So obviously that problem got fixed somehow?! Now idle once warm is sometimes super low, even will stall sometimes when stopping. Idles about 500rpm. Seems to run fine though? Ecu or sensor issues?
