Default EOI Bonnet Struts (Real)

Looking at possibly doing another run of the bonnet struts in the next few weeks. Will only happen if I get the numbers required. Had a few guys ask me in the last few weeks and got a call from Jim Hall wanting some for his new Spec C.

I have in the past done sets of bonnet struts to suit GC8's and GD series WRX's and Imprezas. Following are a few pics of my car and a few other members whose cars I have fitted these to. Price is $120 a set. Fitting is free if required. Pick up in Hocking.

Do these bolt up to existing bolts/holes or is there drilling required? And also. how would these handle lifting a steel bonnet like on a RS Liberty? I reckon my bonnet weighs around 20kg.

The kits I have done in the past for GC8s and GDBs are a direct bolt on fit. No drilling required. Never done an RS so cant comment on it.

I dont mind drilling and all to make it fit. Im more concerned with it being able to hold up a heavy steel bonnet. Did any of the gc8s you fitted these to have a steel bonnet?

My friend Henry (Klass8wrx) has these exact same bonnet struts on his GX converted V6 STi. Im pritty sure he has a steel bonnet as its damn heavy and the struts hold it up fine. I cant imagine a lib RS bonnet being much heavier if any.

I have these fitted to my GC8 and it holds the bonnet easily.
