ECUDatascan GB Status
Hi guys,
I can't reply in the original thread so I'll create a new one. Here's the status of the GB as is:
| # | Name | Cable | Status | | 1 | Spotydog | Autronic | Sent | | 2 | Explicit | OBD-II | Sent | | 3 | timsam | OBD-II | Sent | * AKA Jeckle | 4 | kevyc1 | OBD-II | Sent | | 5 | Dudraig | OBD-II | Sent | | 6 | Pimpreza | SSMI | Sent | | 7 | Cinaber | OBD-II | Sent | | 8 | Soksta | OBD-II | Sent | | 9 | Sayers | OBD-II | Sent | | 10 | Kahnage | Autronic | Sent | | 11 | gumby | OBD-II | Sent | | 12 | toddles | Autronic | Sent | | 13 | Showdown | OBD-II | Sent | | 14 | beernuts | OBD-II | Sent |
Note: Those who want an Autronic cable need to have the laptop cable with them! The cable that comes with the ECUDatascan has the 9 pin plug on it, not the 3.5mm plug that the Autronic has. The laptop cables for the Autronics are $44 + postage. Autronic dealers should have them in stock. Alternatively I can source them for you directly from Autronic but your ECUDatascan delivery will wait until they arrive here. |

Paypal let me make the payment a couple of minutes ago, btw this is Timsam now known as Jeckle, thanks for making this available. Cheers Tim |
Daren, replied to your email yesterday & today with my user name........Paid in full (Subaru cable)
Tom |
Deposit paid now.
|
OK looks like all done except for one user.
BTW those who ordered and are buying for an Autronic ECU need to let me know if you want me to source the autronic-laptop cable for you from Autronic themselves, price is $44 + postage. |
All those who paid the full amount and are using OBD-II cables will have theirs sent on Monday. Still waiting on feedback from the Autronic users!
|
No Autronics Cable for me just datascan one.
Thanks |
OK you'll get yours sent on Monday too then!
|
First 5 were sent this morning using express. You should get them tomorrow or Wednesday.
|
Cheers, looking forward to it:3gears:

Are we still on track for end of month :D
|
Recieved a present in the post early this morning - looks better in real life!
Thanks Daren |

Yeah so far, but don't be surprised if there are delays. Edit: Spotydog - Autronic tell me that the ECU needs to be set up to send the realtime data on the port. If you have any issues PM me as the Autronic protocol was implemented using sample data provided by Autronic and a hacked up emulator. |
good news, so where do we pick them up from?
|
Arrived today, looking forward to starting to play with it asap, but that will be on the weekend:sad10:

Do you have a 90 degree OBD connection so that the cable doesn't hang so low? |
Yeah I sell those for $30 + shipping. They're not for sale on the website yet though. Send $35 to the usual paypal address and I'll get it shipped asap.

Was thinking about that as well, just wanted to know if the option was available, and the cost, Cheers to both Tim |
Hi all,
Quick update - sorry for the delays. I was told by my supplier that my stock would get sent to me on the 20th of August but this never eventuated. I got the sample for my next order yesterday and it checked out 100%. I hope to now receive my stock within a fortnight. Thanks! |
Thanks for the update - was wondering whether everything was okay. Suppliers, eh?

Yeah everytime I order there are setbacks. Good thing with this order is that it's quite sizeable, so won't have any more worries for a while. |
Quick update as I received a couple PMs.
Speaking to my supplier on a daily basis. Unsurprisingly they stuffed up my order but are sending the first half today (so they tell me). If this goes to plan I'll have them ready for shipment next week sometime. Sorry for the delays. I hope you understand that the delays are thanks to my suppliers so I'm just as powerless as everyone else here. :( |
Finally!
They've arrived. I sanity checked a couple and they're perfect. So all those people who still owe please pay the balance and I'll get them shipped out asap! |
Do you have a page to pay the balance or will you be sending out your paypal email address.
|
Mine is fully paid for but you mentioned on the RSLC group buy that you'd be putting diagnostics in the Subaru cable units (pre 99) I'm the only one in this group buy with this cable so will mine have this feature when it arrives or will I have to wait as I do want it installed (d_generate).

Tom
This feature would only be developed if there was enough interest over at RSLC. |

Done. Thanks! |
I must be blind and not seeing the post. The total cost was $450 right?
|
I think it was $460 including a $10 charge for using paypal? I deducted $100 deposit and paid the rest.
I think it was $460 including a $10 charge for using paypal? I deducted $100 deposit and paid the rest.
My understanding was the $10 was charged automatically by paypal. Then again, anyone care to clarify? |
This feature would only be developed if there was enough interest over at RSLC.
So if this is developed will I be able to download it or send it back to be modded & exactly what won't my unit do that the others will. Thanks. |
Sorry, the total was $460, the extra $10 was to cover the fees I was being charged by Paypal.
So if this is developed will I be able to download it or send it back to be modded & exactly what won't my unit do that the others will. Thanks.
Yeah if it's developed you will be able to download and upgrade your ECUDatascan by yourself. You unit using the SSM I protocol will pretty much do everything except for diagnostics, but slower than the rest because the protocol is much slower than the OBD-II version. |

Thanks for those figures, funds have been sent to the nominated paypal account. Pleasure doing business :D |
