What we did for my really good mate
Get some pics from Franz of his then RB25 VS Ute (350 rwhp , absolute weapon) Block mounted them in a classy wodden frame , then got an enscribed plate saying happy bday. Its the first thing you see on his wall at his place... ie it still means alot 2 years later

Get a few people together and buy him a petrol remote control car those things fly!
NB: He'll spend heaps on it trying to maintain it  , but if he's into cars n stuff im sure he'd already be use to it..

all of the ticketing companies do gift vouchers too... for something random... guy can get generic gift vouchers..ie. $50 to spend on any event they sell.. or you can get event specific... i.e. $50 to spend on a Crusty Demons ticket...
ps. ill disclose that I work for Ticketek therefore have vested interest in anyone buying tickets from us. haha

Yeah im tryna steer away from vouchers for that reason.
Although ticketek voucher wouldnt be so bad. We've always got concerts we wanna go to....hrmm......
