i was interested in getting my CAMS license... was wondering if anyone had info on how i would go about doing this and roughly what the prices are??
i went to the website and couldn't find any info... i must b retarded or something ha

What type of Cams Licence are you after? Non Speed/Speed?

You can get Day Licences at some major cams affiliated events - sometimes you can apply for a yearly one too.

Otherwise you need to be a member of a cams affiliated club - WASCC, AFARCC i think etc.

any other speed licences you have to do tests i believe.

Cams office is on Wanneroo RD right opposite DogSwamp in Yokine (behind the red rooster)

As above, choose what sort of license you want. you need to join CAMS affiliated club, i'd go with All Fours And Rotaries Car Club or Impreza WRX Owners Club, both offer members more than just a little card with their name on it in the form of free / discounted events. you can also sign up for the WA Sporting Car Club at Wanneroo raceway, which i think is actually a requirement for tuning days and the like, plus you get free tix to the V8 Supertaxis too from memory

Then choose your CAMS lic, L2NS for short motorkhana work, L2S for barbagello / AHG / Collie. i think its $45 for NS and $85 for S so its really just worth getting the full speed lic. all you do is fill out the form and wait a week, and you have a lice

right... i didnt know there were so many variations haha. i assumed its just a track kinda license that can be used for track days etc...
