Well release date is next friday, anyone pre ordered or planning on getting one, hadnt been in to video games lately but been thinking about grabbing one in a few weeks, had a ps2 but sold it as i never used it, But after watching some videos of the games it looks amazing, def alot better then xbox 360, i prefer the controller of the ps3 as well. Combined with blue ray, internet and a 60 gig hdd should be quite good, i know price is a little bit high but hopefully it will come down quickly and they also plan to release the 20gig version later for people who dont want to fork out for the 60 gig version.

Games look amazing, the EA sports range ill be keen on gettin, madden NFL, NBA live and Fight Night. Gran Turismo and motostorm to name a few more. Just thought id see if anyone else was planning on grabbing one or any good games theyve seen.

Sirix already has one, got it from Japan. It's pretty cool. But just remember if your buying it for the graphics and not the game play it will become boring very quickly.

The big advantage though is the fact its pretty much the cheapest blu-ray player on sale. IF you have a HDTV or Projector the quality really is awesome.

all i can say is they are huge, ugly and bloody exspensive! Wont be getting one in a hurry at all, PC for life...

I was just in SonyCentral at lunch...

I was looking for help with a decent Home Theatre set-up but all the sales geeks were too busy setting up two new PS3's.

THEY ARE JUST COMPUTER GAMES... HOW OLD ARE YOU PEOPLE FFS??

Then again, the graphics looked awesome... and blue-ray will be cool if it ever takes off, but it could prove to be the next laser disc/mini disc etc

Wii is the shit. Bought my mate one for his 21st last week. I am sore all through my shoulders as a result of some serious tennis action haha.

Only reason i'll buy a PS3 is for Gran Turismo. Addicted to that shit!

got ur system yet? or anyone else? enjoying it, opinions views? had a quick go in myer the other night on the F1 game, in my opninion was bloody awesome. the ea f1 game would be better but still was very impresed, $1000 price tag is a bitch though, also saw the blue ray on a big lcd screen, very very clear!!

u have to rmember ur paying fo the blue ray technology also. I think thats the cheapest blue ray player on the market. So its definately got value for money.

Wait 6 months and it would be retailing around 6-700...
