Last night after my parents had gone out and my make-believe babysitter was asleep.....Ill fly my finished intersteller ship , which I made from soup cans, plastic tubing and rubber cement (I got the idea from a game) I went to launch an attack on the vorticons, who had landed on mars in preparation for an attack on earth, they almost won, they stole all the vital parts of my ship, which I had to recover. Marooned on Mars!!!! (what luck)
These funny one eyed green things keep pushing me around, while a dog in some kungfu outfit tries to kill me.
Now that I am back on earth.....Ill get them I tells ya.....ILL STOP THEM....ME AND MY RAY GUN........IM GONNA GO DOWN THE SHOPPING CENTRE AND STOP THEM ALL!!!!!

hehe....can anyone guess what Ive been playing?

Its funny, you would think researchers would know about drawing inferences on seemingly related pieces of data is risky. Its like saying eating carrots will give you good night vision. Thats not technically true, its vitamin a that gives you good night vision, so anything with decent levels of vitamin a, including carrots, will help that.

I wonder if they considered that people might have some sort of psychological "risk taking" aspect that makes them enjoy racing games, and be more prone to take what are deemed risks on the road. If that is the case then its not the games that are causing it, its just that persons human nature.

I do agree with the point on understanding consequences. I reckon it has more to do with how well the person is brought up and taught at a younger age to think about and understand the consequences of their actions, rather than the influence of games.

I've also heard that apparently the part of your brain that judges potential actions and looks at the consequences does not fully kick in until you are 26. I wonder what the average age of the test sample was

Really though, its like saying 99.9% of people behind the wheel are breathing.

or

99% of drivers are under the influence of Dihydrogen Monoxide.

From what I remember of doing statistics, you can make them show whatever you want, while technically, not altering the data, just comes down to how its presented
