Richmond at Subi should be 5 - 1, leading into the derby... so "should" be 6 - 1 on current form... but who knows! Not many teams have won coming back from the bye... Only St Kilda I think? and they just scraped over the line!.. Mind you, Freo has played/beat 2 of them!

Andrew - You are a harsh marker! Agreed, the commitment wasn't there 100% of the time, but to get a win over a team that was top 4 last year(and expected to be there this year) and has beaten us convincingly in the last 6 encounters is still a good effort!
Completely agree that there is much room for improvement though as well!

Richmond game is at the MCG (pretty sure) and they have been a bit of a bogey side for us in the last few years. Will be a tougher game then many are predicting but hopefully we can get over the line and head into the 2nd bye/egirls game.

Calling it as I see it Jimmy. Maybe being a decade in the same ring side seat makes it a clearer to see the faults.

In the end - a win is a win but Freo never seem to do it easily.

Sorry... at the MCG v Richmond... I think on current form, especially away form, we should beat the Tigers... I'm sure it won't be a blowout, but if the boys drop that sort of game, they are no-where near the form they appear to be in, despite how they have played in portions of the games so far!

Not sure about this, something about Richmonds style of play just matches up well against us. Even when we are in form near the top and they are struggling at the bottom they have been able to cause upsets. In the past we have played and beaten good sides before and after a Richmond game but Richmond have beat us.

Last 5 match ups:
2010 Rnd15 @ Etihad – Richmond by 19
2010 Rnd5 @ Subi – Freo by 39
2009 Rnd10 @ Subi – Richmond by 3
2008 Rnd 21 @ MCG – Richmond by 7
2008 Rnd 4 @ Subi – Richmond by 4

I agree we should beat Richmond but losing against the Tigers isn't as bad a reflection on our form as the media will suggest. Rounds 8-12 should be a good indication of where we are at.

Amazing what can happen in a day - just had a footy living legend walk in my door.

Dennis Marshall - Ex Claremont and Geelong cats. Runner up in both the Sandover and Brownlow Medals.

During my early days was a well known nightclub owner / operator such as the Red Parrot. I'm pretty sure I was a glassy/barman at one of his venues years ago.

D Marshall

Will put this here for now to see if I can get the answers without starting a new thread.

Want to go to the Freo game this weekend (Mrs is a Freo supporter). We won't get there until 2 though so will miss the first quarter and most of the second I would say. Now everytime we go to a Freo game there doesn't seem to be anyone checking tickets or passouts at the half time break (from memory). Now I don't see any point in paying if that's the case

Can anyone confirm that we'll be able to just walk in at half time? My memory is shite so I am not confident that I have it right.

I can only comment from a "smokers gate" and they check going into the smokers area but not from the chained in smokers area to the stadium. If you go to the gate on the eastern side of the Subiaco Football building (Gate 27?) you can usually get to the enclosed smokers section between the ticketing booths and the trailer selling supporters gear without a security guard noticing.

EDIT - bloody cheapskate

Well hope you didn't bother going to the game as it was terribly poor.
