If thats how much a house like that is going for I'm fucked when it comes to buying a house  Gotta get the hell out of Perth, or be a billionare to get a nice place.

Bakks, Perth is still reasonably well priced mate, we've just been a sleeping giant for the last 15 years. Get in now if you can, on any scale - you won't go backwards, but educate yourself with the market and buy in the right 'burbs and you'll do well. Try scope a 5 year plan if your looking to utilise capital growth and expand a property portfolio.

i think the best time to buy is probably towards the end of this year....the property prices are dropping slightly....maybe around $50k? for average properties.... should get in then.....

Property prices in armadale maybe, most property within Perth metro will only plateau not drop

Köura 30-04-2007 03:09 PM

I agree, I can't see property investments dropping at the moment. Plateau maybe, but probably the minimum increase will be inflation. Either way it'll be better paying interest on your own investment than paying rent.

I'm in the market for a first home too.
