Default Anyone got this golf simulator

Im wanting to play a bit of golf but want to improve my swing without having to go to the driving range. Anyone used one of these before? If so how realistic does it portray ur shots??

I never found simulators to be that good, but some people love them.

I know it sounds cliche, but you really are better off getting a couple of lessons, as you really need someone to tell you what you are doing wrong.

They improve your golf about as much as a steering wheel and gt4 on your playstation improve your driving.

IMHO absolute waste of time.

Group lessons are also a waste of time in my opinion. All the instructors time and effort gets spent on either the worst golfers or the hottest looking tarts. Usually it is the same thing.

If you are serious, bite the bullett and get some 1/2hr lessons and spend an couple of hours on the range after your lesson working on it. The pro will give you a few drills etc to work on.

If you just go out and play once a week at the same course you will improve for a little while then you will peter our.

Hope this helps.

i dont see the point in getting lessons as i wouldnt play enough to keep my technique.

But the conveience of picking up a club and hitting the ball at home is a drawcard, however it may not seem to provide the most accurate details. There is mixed feelings out there about its accuracy but this may only be software based. i.e settings need to be tweaked..

that is true mate, its easy to lose your swing.. however one lesson with a good pro and you'll be hitting balls better then you ever have in your life...
