Question cat issues

i have recently noticed since the wet weather, that my 2 cats are now sitting on my bonnet and leaving their dirty footprints all over my bonnet and front window. i aint really bothered except for the part that they laeve dirty footprints. but i am worried that they are goin to scratch the bonnet, if not they already have.

apart from the obvious and gettin rid of the cats, does anyone have any ideas of how to prevent that cats jumping on the car??

any ideas would be valuable as i am stumped.

cheers

Im not sure if it would damage the paint or not. But my cat absolutely hates the smell of citronella oil.
