hey guys!
yes im still thinking about geting a AE86 , i have looked at 2 this weekend that are hard to come by but have not made a choice or even know if i should get these. 1. is this one: http://ae86forsale.blogspot.com/ its got a turbo converted 4Agez motor puting out 180kw , the shell is in good condition and has a couple of other bits on peices as shown in the add, the odd thig is that the milage on the motor is un known it could be over 200,000k's but the odomiter does not work and reads over 200,000. he wants $10,000 2.the other choice is one that i have not seen yet but im going to go look at it , this one has had a SR20 N/A transplated into it with 80,000k's on it and a standard ECu from the 200sx the motor was from , i have been told it is a little stiff due to the coil-overs and the motor has not been registered to the car , so i would need to get that done or i will be raped my the cops , other then that its been re painted red and is also 180kw , he wants $8000 what is the better option you think? , better condition with origonal motor but un-known k's for 10,000 or SR20 in not as good body but still not bad need to be takenover the pits for 8000?

SR alll the way... owned 4 srs and the motors r good hardly ever had ne probs had a 200sx with 335rwhp and only mods was gt2871r turbo , cams, exhaust fmic mainly basic add ons and they can handle the power
as for the pit wat u should do is call them up see if it can be registered with the sr20 chuck a turbo on the Sr20de and she be sweet Last edited by SPOOLED; 03-06-2007 at 06:15 PM. |

i have been told as it is a N/A SR20 the motor wont handle a turbo to well
due to it being high compression

a piston or other internal parts could be expensive as there are not many 4agez or 86s on the westcoast, im not sure though. if your seriously interested you should get an rac check

basically sr20 n/a has rather high compression, turbo it, will kill it.. had sr20det previously...very reliable and lots of power

nothing wrong with a gze + turbo.. mine made 250rwhp (~186rwkw) and was insane to drive..
the guy who bought it was selling it a little while ago, might be worth a call? http://www.antilag.com/forums/showth...highlight=ae86

Well im pretty sure you can get decomppression plates that go beneath the head gasket that lower the compression of an N/A engine and allow for turbo bolt ons to occur. Only problem is that the decomp plate goes, so does the head gasket. From what i heard anywayz :P
