Default Postage options to pommie-land ???

My sister has informed me , she has bought me a birthday prezzy for when i get to perth next week. (its my birthday) 21 again
The problem will be getting it home with me again. i dont know what it is yet but she says it weighs about 40kilo's
What options do i have for getting it sent off appart from surface mail ?
Apparently its about the size of a medium suitcase.
Thanks in advance for any help given.

Express Air would cost a shitload. Cheapest by boat .. but that'll take an eternity to get to you.

Perhaps a Non-Express air is the go.

Problem is : apparently they wont except surface mail packages above 20 kilo's.
My sister has suggested sending it (when we return) as unacompanied (spelling) baggage ?
Anybody done this before ?

I thought your avarage amount was or is 30 kilos each person by flight and any extra than that you pay on top..
Im sure you can find some sort of bag to chuck it in..

Check your options. Sometimes it can be cheaper to take it with you
and pay the "excess baggage" charge than send it my mail/courier. Especially
given that if you do take it on the plane you have it with you instead of waiting
for the mail to arrive weeks later.

40 kilos eh ! Must be one of those life size "tickle me elmo" dolls. Perhaps buy
it a ticket and have it sit next to you.
