With the Paris thing and also that dude that got a pardon by Bush because he had to pay 1/4 mil in fines. I thought it'd be interesting to know just how much people would be willing to pay to stay out of jail.

Lets say you've been done for pissy driving and your looking at 3-4 weeks jail, what price would you put on that?

Personally I was thinking about 10-15k.. I mean what would you tell people? Work could also be a problem, I know I get 4 weeks holiday pay but I have a feeling jail time might be classed as leave without.

The other thing tho is.. I don't have any friends that have been to jail so I’m not sure, is an ass raping expected? Or does that shit only happen in high security? See if sodomy was on the cards that figure’d go up about three fold.

I dont think that sorta stuff happens in minimum security jail's.. so if your in for say a driving offence and go for 3-4 weeks, i would bet its min. security..

I'd probably pay about 10k to stay out. Its not that long, and min. security would be just as bad as going into the Big Brother House for 3-4 weeks I recon, so I'd prolly harden up and do the time.

I think you should add that if you go in you have "Tea bag" waiting for ya, shower time. I am sure the amount paid will increase! Hehe

Keep in mind the minimum jail sentence that can be handed out by a Magistrate in WA is six months and 1 day..

I'd keep the 10k, get back some of my hard earned tax money, by letting you tax payers pay for my accomodation/food, etc. Then when i get out, blow the 10k i would have spent staying out, on something worthwhile. Criminal record would be crap though, but my line of work it doesn't matter all too much.

I wouldnt do the crime in the first place, so no worries

If I did a crime, I'd spend the money on a damn good lawyer.

If that failed, then I guess I'm doing the time.

I'd rather do time than pay. Especially if bumsecks was on the cards
