I use a dewalt all day everyday and so do many other in our wokshop. Mostly the 14.4V ones. I love them. We've just recently got some 12V ones and they can dish out a fair bit of chop. Havnt had any faults with them yet and ive been there a year now. My old drill used to smoke up fair bit on start up, but that was only becasue i covered it in WD-40 haha.

But it all depends on what your going to be using it for and for how long you want it to last?
