Fkn seppos, but they probably figured since he was an aussie
that he could handle himself just like the SAS who were always the first to be sent in to clean up and make it safe for the seppos to come into the area!!!! As usual they were too chicken shit and under-skilled to handle these kind of operations My 2cents worth anyway. Tally ho to the british for picking him up !

Without knowing exactly what was going on it is a bit hard for any of us to comment. Being a war ground there are a lot of other factors which may have caused the soldiers to come to that decision.
Fantastic to see the British still being honourable soldiers and looking after the wounded.

"Also I will take the blame for Dubya being elected president"
But he simply wasn't elected president. He stole it. As we all sadly know gore got the majority vote.

The Americans didn't leave him behind because he is an Aussie. They left him behind because he is a private contractor. Even American private contractors get denied assistance by US armed forces.
The US Forces over there don't like the security contractors at all. They don't follow any of the same rules of engagement, and don't fall under the US chain of command. Basically, if there are US Soldiers and private contractors in any given situation together, its each one for themselves. The US has also been blamed for the actions of Private contractors getting stupid, shooting up cars, and going gun-ho endangering civilians. And because they both wear very similar uniforms and use similar weapons, the civilians cant tell the difference and just blame the US. Private contractors aren't there to help the war effort. They are there to get rich quick. Every time a private contractor or their family whines about how dangerous Iraq is I just shake my head. Soldiers are usually sent on assignment whether they like it or not, contractors are greedy buggers willing to be selfish and leave their families just to chase a dollar. Soldiers are ordered to war whether they like it or not. These contractors choose to go into a conflict zone fully knowing the possible consequences of their actions and situations. If they don't like it they shouldn't fucking go there.
