Default Creating DVD's: Help!

Hey folks,

Hoping someone can help me out.

Im trying to copy all my Top Gear eps that i have on the computer to DVD. They are about 350-400mb per ep, and the DVD's i have are 4.7gb, but for some reason when i put it into my burning program, the files come out at about 4gb each. So i can only squeeze 1 ep per DVD, which seems like an awful waste to me.

So, am i doing something wrong? Is there i way i can compress them and still watch them on a home DVD player?

Cheers in advance,
Blair.

This is complicated, but can be done.

You need to convert all the movies to mpeg2, nero should do it automatically unless your trying to add divx or something. TMP Do great encoders and authoring tools that will help you do it quickly. But you will need to look at the current frame rate and res, then when you convert choose similar compression so you don't lose quality.

man... i hope that makes sense

Ive got pretty much all episodes even the really old ones already burnt onto dvd ( i got off an evolution oz member ), if your interested in getting them from me just supply me the discs and i will burn em for you or you could just borrow them and burn them yourself.

I will be back from China at the end of the week, so contact me anytime after that if you want.

If you are copying them to watch through a DVD then i would suggest a prog convertx to DVD really simple to use and doesn't seem to expand the file too big. I am able to fit two full DVD quality movies on one 4.3gig disk. Or go and buy a cheap Chinese brand DVD player that will play dvix movies and don't bother converting them just copy them
I take it this is all Hypothetically speaking

Yeh i need to watch them through a dvd player.

JDM STYLE: Unfortunately i need them done before friday, thanks for the offer though.

Ok, so essentially i just need a program to convert them all to a smaller file?

EDIT: Hypothetically speaking, where could i hypothetically download a version of this Convertx program? Hypothetically....
