But the G.max site says
18x8 , 18x8.5 ,18x9 , 18x9.5 * = Brembo clearence

GMAX's wont clear brembos, no way your running the 9.5's.

Go the rims, end of the day, 4 pot WRX brakes do a great job of slowing GC8's down.

What are your plans for the car Benny????

If you are only plnning drags and minimal track work the get rims

If you plan on doing lots more track work get Brembo's.
