Jeez didn't see that coming.........Knights was a good hard player for Richmond lets just hope he has a GREAT footy brain. He has earnt his respect on the field, I hope he earns it in the box now. I am happy with the decision.

Hopefully he becomes the next Richmond great to coach the dons for 28years.

I thort Damian Hardwick was announced Coach on Tuesday Night? I swear I heard that on the news..

fukn a!! Last I heard a day or 2 ago was former bomber and tuffnut Damien Hardwick was leading the race to coach, never knew Knights had any interest in the position. At least Peter 'I can sing my A,B, D's' Sumich is not gonna get it

Nah he was most likely to get the job though.

I think knights is a much better decision though, Hardwick had a short fuse. Awesome player but when it got hot he would attack the person rather than the ball. Needed someone with great focus under pressure.

Best thing he ever did was almost die after Danny Southern choked his ass out!

I never knew this but apparently Knights was the Bombers Development Coach in seasons past so I guess it's a logical step up for him, especially as he's already familar with everything and everyone. That'll make it a heap easier for the adjustments of not having Sheeds after 27yrs.
