You need to be more specific in what kind of dining experience you are chasing.
My brother is a chef at Jackson's! Been there once, it was quite nice. (The owner drives an 04 WRX, by the way).

Been to Star Anise, too, and the duck we had was unreal. We left a little bitter, though, because they refused us a new glass of wine when we pointed out to them there was a fly in the glass. The floor manager just said, 'that's nature, it's out of our control.' Wtf? So it's ok to have flies with our meal? You'd expect more when you pay $800 for a meal.

Not a fan of fine dining anyway, i'd much prefer a slab of meat and pasta with a beer. A couple of us went to Il Pasto in East Perth a while ago, which i thought was really nice. I would like to go back.

Four person meal at Star Anise with alcohol could easily tap 800 bucks.

La Cascade in Nedlands authentic French cuisine. $50 for 3 courses guaranteed to fill you up , decor is a bit dated but food is top notch

Haha, it wasn't just a duck. I can't remember what it's called (starts with a D), but you get 10, small proportions of different foods.
