yeah i thought about spending more and buying a decent PSU but...the computer is 3 years old (p4 2.8) so i'll be looking at something newish in the next 6-12 months and then i can buy something better...for now i need 400W and i found a 450W C-spec (China spec - when quality means everything) one for $39...if it lasts me 6 months i'll be as happy as pig in shit

Spend the extra $30 and get a good quality one, from someone like Antec. China PSU's are crap, and generally quote their wattage rating as a peak figure that it cannot maintain over time. 350W Antec probably supplies more power and is more stable than a 500W china PSU
