Nice avatar what bird are you trying to find? C1 B3 and IS8 are pretty easy without a finder, you could hook up a small tv and your decoder outside and use that as a finder

I can see you standing on your roof...

Try a little further to the left.

If your looking for imparja on the Aurora platform to use with a Aurora card or a goldie you will be looking for C1, which will be the mosts strongest bird out there. Load the foxtel frequencies in your decoder (12478 H 27800 3/4) plug it into your dish, make sure the mast is fairly plumb and set the elevation to approx 33* moev the dish to the right of true north (NEE) and you should find it failry easily it has to be basically pointing in the direction of where the sun rises. if you have found it you shoud be recieving the TVSN channel after a scan
