They are not the same. Even if they are made at the same refinery, they are made to different standards and compositions.
Also some 98 fuel is shipped over from Singapore.

Yup Peak is shipped in from Singapore, I heard Caltex is trucked in from over east. I guess if their is an ultimate shortage and vortex dries up too then we have our answer!

My understanding was that BP refine 95 RON locally, then sell that to Caltex. BP and Caltex then add their own additives to make it up to 98 RON.

Off topic but.... BP Halls Head had to have their tanks inspected as the Ultimate 98 had lumps in it.

I should clarify the point I was trying to make - Same refinery but different additives yes. Either way, if BP runs out, so does Caltex.
