sorry for the gay thread but does anyone here write or taken classes to learn how to properly.

eg: creative writing, journalism, script writing etc

I know theres a few uni's which offer both fulltime and part time journalism / writing courses (im sure ECU Mt Lawley and Curtin both do) and theres some fantastic courses over east. I guess google is your friend!

i just randomly write stuff on my computer. songs, poems, random feelings/ideas.

i just thought it would be a cool idea to learn to write properly seens as i find enjoyment in writing.

If you mean writing as in proper writing (pen and paper), I am a fan...and I have a bevy of quality pens to do it with

one of my mates has started writiing a novel, he doesnt look liek the novelist, just in his own time at home, ive read like the first 20 pages, not bad lol, but i still laugh everytime he says his going to write some more of his book.

See this is the flipside to taking courses. Some random person puts pen to paper and just lets their mind flow and writes something perhaps magical. Next thing you know he's a published novelist!

I wonder if any of the tafe's offer night courses? Surely they would?

I bet the Hemmingways and Zane Greys of the world never took courses :P

yep....ECU does it....friends and i study a bit of journalism....howver my major is mass communications....but yeah...ECU definately does it
