Default Drag Regulations

I have heard that if you go below 10 seconds at the drags you need to have like a roll cage or a shoot or something like that. Is this true? if you can make your daily fast enough to do less then 10 do you need to have some sort of protection for them to let you drag?
Random i know but yeah interested to know.

Yes, if you run a 10.999 you will be asked to leave the plex and not return until you have a cage fitted.

haha thats funny!
there is a new guy at work that is bosting and i quote

'my rx-7 is running dual engines, you can check it out. 1st ever in W.A
I used to collect rx-7's when i had a car yard with my mate. I regret selling it though. I had a series 4 rx-7 that did 8 flat'

This is now the 4 rx-7 he has claimed to own......also saying before
'I got 2 cars. GT-R32 10sec 1/4 and Series 8 Rx-7 8.9sec 1/4. I do drags and rally racing for Sydney comps'

funny guy.

It is quite possible to have some cars that fast and not be caged etc (i.e. run 1 run and leave).

The problem you run into is then how street legal your car is when running those kinda times.

Yeah i worked ever so briefly with a guy who owned:

"A VL commo with an RB26 with like 600bhp that does 10's everytime i go to the plex"

When I finally got to see it, it was a bunky VL turbo with original engine, a BOV and some exhaust work.

Funny funny.

yup, same "type" of guys who tend to 'pick up chicks every time they go out' and get '10 blow jobs a night from different chicks'....ohhh and don't laugh coz 'their cousins are big and they'll beat you up'.

unfortunately some people have no idea how quick a 10' really is,
its hard to take people seriously who boast about it unless they have a real understanding of what effort is required to lay down a 10 compared to the average road car...

I think they will tell you 120mph (which is usually 10. something) and come back with a cage.

If you run a 9 then you cant come back till you got a chute to throw out the back.
