Jez,
That's really good to see mate. I did a similar thing with the loan detectors you gave me, mainly the Escort. I tried them low down, higher up and by the sun visor. Low down i found wasn't overly great, i would say because the scoop was in the way. The tests near the rear view mirror were average at best, which was quite suprising. I figured they would be the same if not better than lower down on the window! Seams that the best place was just high enough to clear the scoop, without it been to high that it blocks your vision. Also should comment that i have gone through a couple of multinova's since i've been back with Euro mode OFF and haven't noticed a great deal of difference. Still gave enough warning to slow down (and grab a coffee) before i went past the multinova.

Yea you need to clear the scoop, for sure. I probably should have stipulated that in my test.
I have seen people mounting them behind wiper blades before **sigh** No good for laser if something is in front of the antenna / receiver. Quote:
BTW, check out this video of the new Beltronics STi-R (remote radar detector) mounted vertically on our windscreen with Ka narrow selected: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OP6YmavUFOs http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3Pcw3WMOlzw The first video was filmed with the speed camera on the opposite side of the road, facing East (Leach Highway near All Saints) and the Bel STi-R remote picked it up 200m away!!! The second video shows it detecting it as it faces oncoming traffic (the usual set-up) and it detected it at the lights (Karel Ave) with us driving west.
