Sunline Racing is being reported to have lapped Suzuka Circuit in a standard R35 GT-R in 2:22:280 which is amazingly fast. The GT-R was placed in circuit mode for the lap and was driven by Eiji “Tarzan” Yamada of Sunline Racing.

To put this laptime into perspective we have the following list of cars and their respective Suzuka Circuit lap times.

1. Ferrari F40 2:25.26 Best Motoring
2. Ferrari F50 2:26.52 Best Motoring
3. Porsche Carrera GT 2:28.42 “Best Motoring”
4. Porsche 993 GT2 2:29.148 “Best Motoring”
5. Porsche 993 Turbo (3.6) 2:31.165 Best Motoring

Who is going to take the punt on the car and stump up the $10k. Then closer to the date sell your spot in the cue. Would make money for sure.

A mate of mine ordered a truck the other day (a 8x8 tatra no less) and within a week he had an offer of $30k to wait for the next one in an additional months time.

An old work friend did this with the STi 2 doors when the came out... He was planning on owning/driving it but someone made him a offer he couldn't refuse
