Work out what size dog you want, how much time you can spend exercising it and what you want to spend on food, then look for a breed that suits you.

Getting a happy, healthy pup is from a responsible breeder is paramount, avoid pet shop puppies like the plague.

Consider adopting a dog as well, there a hundreds of loveable dogs in Perth kennels looking for a loving home right now.

Two Border Collies.

Barney is the pup @ about 20wks. Blue Mearle Colour. He is about 8 months now and is frikin fast.

Harvey is the old boy black and white (we keep his hair shaved ). He's now 12yrs and up until about 6 months ago would still belt out 5km runs with me every night. He's slowing down now so we got the pup and he runs around all young again but gets tired out pretty easily.

ur merle collie is awesome... this is what i'm aiming for for my next dog

I fell in love with it, Merle Aussie Shepherd.. my last collie x keplie dad made me get rid of, after she ate his whole garden and dug the most massive holes under his shed, i reckons she got about 2 - 3 meters deep and would have kept going if we didnt come home in time, she was only 6 months... i miss her..

Our purebread Samoyed puppy Skye, 9 weeks old in the photo but she is 3 months now.

Competition between the dog and the girlfriend for who hugs me first when I get home now.
