Correct. A proper American Bulldog is massive. Way bigger than a pitbull.

$100 says most people would not actually recognise a pitbull if it bit them on the ass (literally).

Dont even get me started on this..... Dangerous dog act gets me furious, as an owner of a bull breed you generally cop a lot of flack from ignorant or scared people....

Unfortunately, it is shit like this that will one day see Staffys tarred with the Dangerous Dog Act brush.

Problem is a lot of Pitbull X owners are also claiming they are "staffy x" to circumvent the issues associated with owning / breeding pitbulls....
My mistake BUT I have seen a PitBull Terrier in real life in Australia - the clipped ears are what made me think it was one. American Staffy's are not Pit Bulls but they are classed as a similar breed.

I am with you on the dangerous dog act!!! Alaskan Malamutes have been classed as dangerous previously and most responsible owned Mals are a long way from being dangerous, unfortunately they are very strong and have a powerful bit so if shit goes badly and the retaliate it normally doesn't end well.

That's a bloody sweet looking husky! Wouldn't mind getting one in the future.

+1 - BSL is a load of shit. Punish the deed, not the breed.

Agreed. Most of the problem is the owners. Cant get upset at a dog because it acts the way their "tuffguy" owners want them to!

An American Bulldog is nothing like a 'Pit Bull', its much closer in size and appearance to a boxer.

Any dog can turn on its owner, and any dog can snap in certain circumstances - the problem with Malamutes/apb's/rotties is that when they lash out they are more than capable of doing severe damage.

A dog's behaviour usually reflective of the environment provided by its owners, and at the risk of being a tad judgemental, the type of people who are attracted by the traditional traits of the APB may not be best suited to give this breed the care and attention it commands.

I guess what i'm trying to say is that if Bogans can't even raise their kids to stay out of jail, what hope have the got with a Pit Bull??

One of my windsurfing mates has two of these...twins....raucous but very friendly dogs...pretty well behaved generally too. Will happily wait in his van while he goes out for a sail.

Beautiful. Smart dogs. I've had two German Sheps. Both now up in doggie heaven running around licking their balls & sniffing arses. Lucky fuckers.
