didnt catch Billy Bragg but caught a bit of Paul Kelly as i was leaving, Arcade Fire were tops also. Bjork has the cutest little voice "tank choo".

yeah i wish rage did their own show, i wish a lot of bdo bands did their own show, seems every year there is 1 band i want to see and usually don't bother.

quick question - have they lifted the sound restrictions on bdo? because after the year that prodigy played the volume was cut back and i havnt bothered going again because my stereo was more capable than a sound restricted bdo.

Seriously RATM was the loudest band ive heard at BDO so far, i dont think it was really restricted , and i think it would have been over the limit, definatally bringing ear plugs next time. My ears are still hurting today.

Sound quality to me was lacking. I have been in previous years with lower SPLs but much better quality. Rammstein springs to mind. This to me makes for a more pleasing audio experience as long as the bottom end rattles your fillings.
RATM were loud, but I'm not sure if they tipped the SPL meters.
From experience, the measurements are taken off site for a specific time period and averaged. Had my fair share of people coming to FOH and asking to turn it down....

During the day the sound quality did sound quite shite. Seemed better at night.

I'm starting to wonder if Perth got the scraps inventory out of Jands. Considering that the BDO SA was Friday, they wouldn't have got the entire production across in time. Then we've had The Police, Iron Maiden etc land at the same time draining the production inventory as well.

Wind (including the baked bean type )has always been the enemy of any sound engineer outdoors, especially variable direction and speed.

Rage was well worth the wait! Bjork was boring as! I nearly fell asleep... the whole day went fairly quick up until Bjork - longest hour and a half of my life!! Especially the first 45 minutes of her randomness.

I was disappointed with Regurgitator. They did the old classics, but did them like a cover band would do it. Dizzee was pretty good - especially when some chick in her Aussie flag bikini top got her cans out haha!

How was the hoods set ?

i got there half way throguh the Regurgitator set. dunno wtf was up with them and the wedding theme???? but theyre still cool.

Hilltop are always killer live and this was no exception. they said theyre going to go away and work on a new album now too. YAY!!!

silverchair just shit me now. theyre old stuff (Neon Ballroom) i really liked. now theyre just crap and DJ is one fucking weird man!!

Bjork was crap, learn to speak english woman!!!!!! i didnt mind the technoish music in the background, but her singing just wasnt BDO IMO.

RAGE were just insane. i was in the D and it was just fucking awesome!!!!!
