So who went, who'd you go to see and what was your impressions of this years BDO.

I went to see Karnivool and RATM.

Having a friend who works 'security' enabled a last minute back door entrance to the mosh pit where we squeezed up to the front and raged with the machine........hell that was epic!!!! AWESOME!!!!! So worth the wait for them to get here.

RATM is the fucking bomb!!!!! Moshpit was going insane the whole set, apart from when they had sound problems at the start. We got in there half way throught Silverchair to get close to the front and spent the whole of Bjorks set chanting "WE WANT RAGE" with about 5000 other people.

Awesome fucking day!

On a side note, Its funny how many bogan you see moshing and screaming out RATM's songs, most of them probbably wouldnt have a clue to the meaning behind them. They are actualy a very political band and the songs also radiate that.

RATM was great, loud as all fuck! i thought a riot was going to start when the PA died during the first song. Bjork was brilliant also, she has a fuckn awesome voice. Also seen Sardi, Anti Flag, Gyroscope, Dizzee Rascal, PNAU, Silverchair (please die DJ) and caught the end of grinners. This BDO seemed alot tamer than any other BDO out ive been too, and probabally the worst one ive been to so far. That doesnt mean i didnt have a awesome time.

lol at silverchair, their set was exactly the same as when they played with powderfinger, and DJ said exactly the same shit in between songs. Also wanted to see regurgitator but got there too late.

I caught rage and they were pretty damn awesome.

Highlights for me were PNAU and Krafty Kuts. PNAU was one of the best live acts I've seen to date. Krafty Kuts played such a killer set that the whole boiler room was covered in dust from people dancing, and about 50 people were on top of the sea containers dancing.

Rage were fucking awsome!! how insane was the mosh pit?!!! i haven't seen crowd acting like this in ages!! some dick threw a full can of beer at my head but other than that i had a brilliant time.

Rage against - 10/10
Silverchair - gone the good days....
Grinspoon - ok
Bjork - sorry to all Bjork fans but she gave me the shits! now when i think about it dont know what was worse me getting knocked out or her singing (again sorry to all Bjork fans)

Gyroscope where wicked, dizzy was quite good, enjoyed arcade fire and silverchair's sets.

but must say that would have to be the worst big day out i have been to in regard to organization and the amount of fucking people. and $9 for a can of bacardi or Smirnoff red vodka!! i think the big day out has lost it's vibe it once had

it's always good when u cannot get on a train, finally get to perth station and find out there are no more services running! they should of knowen better, it was a joke and alot of people where stuck in perth train station.

that aside, it was a very big day out for me, and im still hurting

music sets were good, rest was terrible, rage was awesome, karnivool who didint really know much of their music but i though they were very very good live, hilltop hoods as usual are awesome and dizzy rascal dominated was well worth seeing,

part from that overall shit day too hot, too many dickheads, mosh was fucked and imho wasnt worth the time and hassle. my 2 cents anyway. wish rage did a single show themselves, would of just gone to that instead.
