ive had a run in with them too.

new years 04/05 i was at cott beach. went to the train station to pick up a friend and put them in a her coz she was drunk. walked back and found my friend and his mrs just off the footpath. was talking to them both for about 5 mins, next thing i know 3 abos approach me, the "leader" screams at me "WHO CALLED ME A POOR CU*T!!!!"

i said nah mate didnt say a thing. he tried to accuse me of it and since i didnt do it i said nah i didnt say anything.
then i get punched in the face, falling to my knees, all 3 start walking towards me quickly so i got up thinking they were going to kick me while i was down. one lent down and picked up a bottle. i got up and bolted towards the train station and they all chased me. about 50m up the road the guy throws the bottle hitting me square in the back. 30cm up it probably would have knocked me out.

because of this, i had to get a plastic surgeon to repair my fractured face from the punch. missed the whole pre season of hockey, couldnt lay on my back for weeks because of the bruise from the full bottle.
so while the fireworks were going off at 12.00 i was running from 3 abos.

told the police, they didnt do anything.

so until they stop doing this kind of stuff 24/7 and make an effort to change for the better. i say pull all their funding since now they have an appology.
