Default Computer Help

Ok i set up my new desktop last night, got a different graphics card in this one to my last one geforce 7300 gs powered by nvida graphics, after installin all the drivers i have to set the video configuration via the nvida control panel, by right clicking the desktop. Coz all the video came up dark to start with coz all the default settings made the video in media player come up dark, but after fiddling with settings i can still not get the colours right!! its pissing me off coz the videos come up all funny.

does anyone know how to set them right? does anyone have this card or had a card they had to do this as well? the colour settings you have to play with are contrast, brightness, hue, saturation and gamma.

i can screenshot what i have to fiddle around with if need be, can someone please help?!?

Which drivers are you running? Download the latest ones from NVidia.

Uninstall the old ones, reboot .. then install the ones you downloaded.

You shouldn't have to touch any of the gamma settings. I usually just tweak the antialiasing.

Make sure you've got the latest DirectX drivers also.

Failing what Rich said, re-install winblows.

If reinstalling drivers/windows doesnt help at all, also check what codec you might be running for any media players you've got.
I dont feel that this would be a cause, but it'll help narrow down the problem.
